The newly sworn-in Caretaker Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Deacon Emmanuel Ikwut has stated his administration’s readiness to take the All Progressives Congress, APC in the area to another level, saying his administration would be an all inclusive one as he enjoins all party faithful to join hands with him to make Andoni great, positing that he could not achieve success without the cooperation of the people, and thanked God and all stakeholders for choosing him to serve the people of Andoni in his present capacity.
Deacon Ikwut made the disclosure Tuesday at a reception party held in his honour shortly after his swearing into office at the Government House.
Deacon Ikwut who was physically elated has called on the people especially the APC members in the area to always think APC in their deliberations and how to move Andoni forward, stating that love is the unifying factor that would propel progress of the party as he charged all to live as a united family.
In his address while welcoming the people to the reception party, the outgoing Chairman, Caretaker Committee Elder (Hon.) Sampson Gilbert Egop who was Chairman of the occasion has said unity is the bedrock of every organization while soliciting support for the new caretaker chairman and appeal for mass turn out during the handing over and swearing in of members of the committee at the council secretariat in Ngo town.
Respective speakers at the event are calling on those at the helm of affairs to allow the incoming administration to work as well as appealing to the Ikwut led administration to strive to meet the welfare of all bringing the party to victory in the area come 2015.
Meanwhile the swearing-in of members of the committee is expected to hold on Thursday September 18th, 2014 at the Council Secretariat, Ngo town.
Members of the Committee include: Hon. Kingston N. Sylvanus, Hon. Esuku M. Esuku, Akulor E. Ibodeng, David Eyorka, Imie Benson and Christiana Timothy. ###
