Rivers Butcher Union Boss Sues For Peace

The National Butcher Union of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter, Chairman, Musa Baba Ahmed said that the crisis in the National Goat Butcher Union, Trans Amadi, Oginigba slaughter did not start in his regime, saying that the National Butcher Union in the state has nothing to do with the leadership tussle of the Goat Butcher Section of Trans Amadi.

Mr. Ahmed said this at the media interactive session with Butcher and Meat Seller Correspondents of Nigeria (BAMCON) at the Slaughter house in Port Harcourt.

The national butcher boss said, “my regime recognizes the two fractions and one group is led by one Mr. Saviour Akpan, who is the chairman of Fresh Air Goat section, while Mr. Agodichin A. Orji who is the chairman of the National Goat Butcher Union in Trans Amadi,” he went further to say that the revenues generated have been shared among the two groups.

Mr. Ahmed stated that “information reaching me is that the two warring factions are in court”, he also denied that the national butcher has hand in the leadership tussle in the goat union. He advised the members of the goat union to be peaceful, law abiding, they should see themselves as one family, adding that “it my desire to see that they settle out of court”. ###
