The former Gokana Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Fred Kpakol has said that Ogoni Project can only come to pass if the Ogonis negotiate with other tribes that made up the state.
The former council boss and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP South East Senatorial Zone disclosed this to pressmen shortly after the Party’s monthly Elders Forum meeting in Kegbara Dere on Sunday, explained that Ogonis voting strength was too small, adding that since Ogonis, votes cannot earn them the expected victory, Ogonis should do proper work by joining other ethnic groups.
He identified loophole for the failure of the Ogoni Project in the group leading the project, said the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP) is not a political outfit, which has no political moral to advocate for a gubernatorial seat but MOSOP has no base to facilitate political struggle.
On gubernatorial ambition of Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike, he has it that Wike has not declared his intention not to mention obtaining intent/nomination form for one to confirm this speculated ambition. While Chief Baadom Baraol (JP) and Augustine Sob in their different speeches enjoined the PDP supporters in the state to continue remain law-abiding and prepare for the 2015 election, saying that PDP is fully prepared for the voters registration exercise. ###
