A political campaign vehicle belonging to a very prominent political group known as South-South Chiefs, Elders, Sisters And Youths Network Association has been vandalized. The Toyota hiace 18-seater vehicle with registration number: Rivers AFM 918 SN was vandalized along the popular Churchill Street, Port Harcourt.
The said vehicle was parked at the front of the National Secretariat of the association when the hoodlums suspected to be loyalists to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) attacked it. Some valuable items including the brain box of the vehicle were removed.
Speaking to news in his office, the Chairman and National Director of the group, High Chief Omubo Atuboinoma Harry condemned the vandalization, attributed it to the handiwork of the opposition.
He said that his association is solidly behind President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s second term bid and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.
High Chief Atuboinoma Harry recalled that, barely two (2) weeks ago, the campaign billboard erected by the organization at Omagwa, in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State was destroyed. He re-affirmed that the activities of the opposition would not deter his association to work for the actualization of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s second term in office.
However, investigations revealed that the chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon. Chibuike Ikenga ordered his boys to remove the billboard.
All efforts to contact the council CTC chairman, Hon. Ikenga proved abortive. ###
