A governorship hopeful in the 2015 General elections in Rivers State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has urged the people of Rivers State to look for credible candidate with honesty, integrity and track record to be rooted for come 2015 general election.
Barr. Dumo Lulu Briggs said this at the health outreach programme for the prevention of cancer and other illness in Rivers State over the weekend in Port Harcourt.
Chief Lulu Briggs said the sensitization seminar and the provision of vaccines to women in the state is his titled contributions to reduce the flight of women especially as it concern health of the women in the state.
He explained that the rancour about the dreaded “Ebola Virus” should not be misinterpreted but the public should understand the common prevention.
The business mogul tasked Rivers people to vote for only those who have track record and have helped them in the past, believing most of those voted into power in the state usually forget those who voted them into power.
Chief Dumo stated that he will run an inclusive government if voted into power because he has the people at heart. He blames those who subdue others when they get into office saying everybody is equal before the law.
The philanthropist used the event to advice all and sundry to register during the forthcoming voters registration exercise because they have the right to vote especially those who are eligible.
According to him, “my mission is to liberate the people of Rivers State, because my personal comfort is immaterial, compared to the welfare of the average Rivers man and woman, so that they can get the same opportunity as I had in my youth” .
He stressed that, if given the PDP gubernatorial ticket, his government would embarked on first class infrastructural development in the state, saying, “we shall urbanize our local communities in such a way one would not differentiate it from one another.
Answering question, whether PDP will evolve a level playing ground in 2015?
He said, “I know the party hierarchy will do the right thing, so that the right candidate that will represent the party will emerge at the primaries.
Highlight of the event was the distribution of breast self examination glove and health sensitization on Ebola and breast cancer diseases. ###
