As the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) continues it gamble with football in Nigeria, the duo of Professor Solomon Braide and Engr. Miyene Ibiye Princely Senibo advised the country Football House to sought itself out.
According to Professor Solomon Braide, the football administrators of Nigeria should reorganize the Glass House, else, it will affect football growth in the country.
He positioned that football should be run with an open mind, and only those who are cued to football alone could do that, citing example from United Kingdom (UK) where the round leather game is managed and run by those who had played the game and are passion driven for it management.
The Rivers State University of Science and Technology don admonished that they should forget about selfishness and greed and sought themselves out, saying the present crop of NFF members have factions, which he said, could not help the country’s football as a house divided against itself can not stand.
Prof. Braide is one time president of Goldashe International Football club of Port Harcourt, further admonished that Nigeria football should be administered and managed by people of integrity who had played the game and have passion to manage football as it is applicable in United Kingdom (UK) adding that Nigeria should take a cue from the developed countries like UK and other European footballing countries.
In a similar development, the chairman of crystal Allstars Football Club of Port Harcourt, Engr. Miyene Ibiye Princely Senibo said, the problem lies with FIFA, saying people use the Nigeria Football Federation to settle some persons.
He deposited that if the right thing is done; people who play the game alone should be brought to manage and run the game in the country, admonishing the Federal Government to call the gladiators and advise them.
The soft spoken amiable football enthusiast also said, football is not just an entertainment, rather football is a large industry that generates much money to the country and brought peace and unity also.
Refering to the United Kingdom (UK) where football management is excellent, that is because, people who played the game are left to manage the game, not any and any person. Urging Nigeria to take a cue from UK and other developed football countries. ###
