The International Peace Advocates has concluded plans to celebrate its first international youth day in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The event is scheduled to hold Tuesday 12th August, 2014 at the Aladumo Miracle Hall, Aba Road, Port Harcourt.
The occasion is designed to feature over five hundred civil society organizations that focus on youth development within and outside Rivers State.
According to the international spokesman of the association Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke while in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt different youth organizations in Rivers State are also expected to participate in the event.
Amb. Nkweke further disclosed that the theme of the ceremony is “Mental Health Matter”, adding that experts and professional bodies in the health sector will deliver papers and goodwill messages at the event.
Personalities to grace the occasion include: government officers, security agencies, clergy men and traditional rulers.
The youth day celebration will be chaired by Chief Amb. Christian Duruoma the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICD photos international.
Other members of the public expected to grace the occasion are youth leaders across 23 LGAs of Rivers State both in churches and other social organizations.
Amb. Nkweke further disclosed that the country President of the association, Bishop Dr. Obasiakpan Otong is also expected to participate at the ceremony.
Similarly the secretary of the association in Rivers State Amb. Mrs. Lima Victor Umoduah said the plans are in top gear to make the youth day celebration a huge success. ###
