Barely one month after, Hon. Warisenibo Adonye Dappa Wilcox assumed office as the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State; the activities of the LGA has changed for better as friends, well wishers and party faithful pay visits to his office at the Council Secretariat.
Sequel to this, the Bonny Marine Transporters Association on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the C.T.C. Chairman, Hon. Wilcox in his office at Bonny.
In his speech, the leader of the delegation, Hon. Israel Waribo Pepple assured the council chairman that BMTA will cooperate with his administration so as to promote unity in the LGA promising that the association will give all necessary support to the CTC chairman.
In his remarks, the council chairman, Hon. Adonye Wilcox lauded the members of BMTA for the visit. He noted that his administration operate an open door leadership which needs all hands to be on deck for the interest of the LGA.
The council chairman warned against insecurity in the area. He further cautioned boat operators to be vigilant on security matters in Bonny Island.
Wilcox charged BMTA to always checkmate their employees to avoid reckless driving that might result to boat mishap at this time of the season, urging them to avoid over loading. ###
