The Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has charged the newly inaugurated All Progressives Congress, APC Adhoc Committee Chairmen and members in the state to ensure that the party wins all the elective positions in LGAs, state and the national levels.
Governor Amaechi gave the charge during the formal inauguration of the All Progressives Congress APC Adhoc Committee at the APC Secretariat Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Governor Amaechi who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Tele Ikuru said that the Committee will determine the successes of the party, pointing out that the members were chosen to serve in that capacity was not an accident rather the party has confidence in them.
Inaugurating members of the eleven Adhoc Committees of the party, the Rivers State Chairman of the All Progressives Party, Dr. Davis Ikanya while congratulating the chairmen and members of the Adhoc committees of the party noted that the aim of setting up the committees was to reposition the party in the state and ensure good governance, fairness in the nation and charged the committee members to do their best to actualize the desire of the party.
In his response, Senator Magnus Abe representing Rivers South East Senatorial District in the Federal House of Senate who spoke on behalf of the Committee Members while commending the party members and executives for given them the opportunity to serve and assured the party that the committees will do their best to ensure that the party wins at all levels.###
