It was a gathering of monarchs, stakeholders and people from all walks of life as they pay their last respect to Late Elder Ethelbert Eromaka of Umuojere Mgbala –Agwa in Oguta LGA of Imo State, who died at the age of 76 yrs.
Late Eromaka was the father of the 2nd wife to HRH Eze Dr. I.O. Asor, Udi 1 of Obudi Agwa Ancient kingdom and the chairman, Oguta LGA council of Traditional Rulers, Imo State.
Some of the monarchs and stakeholders who spoke at the burial ceremony described Late Elder Eromaka, who was laid to rest on the 3rd July, 2014 as a man of good heart and urged the family to accept the demise of their father in good faith.
Speaking with The Newswriter correspondent on a condolence visit, Eze Asor described his late father in-law as a man with good lineage, adding that his marriage with the late Elder’s daughter is blessed with five boys and the reason he gave the late in-law, a befitting burial.
The chairman Emeritus of Traditional Rulers of Oil and Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria, TROMPCON, however urged the family left behind by his late in-law to continue to live together in peace as a family and promised to continue to be with them.
Eze Asor, who wished all the traditional rulers in the state, particularly those from Oguta LGA among others, a safe journey back to their respective communities, used the medium to draw the attention of the state governor, Chief Rochas Owelle Anayo Okorocha to the fact that his directive to electrify Agwa town and the completion of the remaining 7.5km road out of the 15km he approved for Agwa people, are yet to be completed. ###
