The people of Bille kingdom in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State have blasted Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for poor attention his administration gives to the community.
Speaking to our editor in an exclusive interview on Monday, a prominent son of the area, Chief Bebe Jacobs accused Governor Amaechi’s administration of not giving proper attention to the development of Bille kingdom.
He alleged that Governor Amaechi refuses to carry out all developmental projects approved by Dr. Peter Odili’s administration for the community. Such projects according to him include: sand filling, shore protection, electrification with power generating set and generator house, building and furnishing of resource centre and comprehensive water scheme with water reticulation and treatment plant.
Chief Bebe who is also the Agbani-Ajike 1 of Niger Delta described Governor Amaechi as someone who does not have the interest of the Bille kingdom at heart.
The Niger Delta freedom fighter further accused the Governor of insincerity and trickish in handling any project concerning the Bille community. He told The Newswriter that the people of Bille kingdom have rejected the governor.
“We are tired of the antics of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. He is a deceiver. No Bille man will follow him, because we have known his tricks,” Chief Bebe said.
He had earlier told our editor that, the community is also marginalized by the Degema Local Government Council in terms of citing of projects, and other political appointments.
According to him, Bille has never benefited any good project from the council, adding that the kingdom has resolved not to vote for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area.
The freedom fighter said that as far as he is concerned, there is no APC in Degema, saying that APC will fail, because it has no focus and lack good leaders.
“APC is a failure. APC cannot succeed in 2015. Delgans should forget about APC because Governor Amaechi does not like the Ijaws and the Bille kingdom,” Chief Bebe said.
The Agbani-Ajike lauded President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his developmental strides in the country, pleading that the people should allow Jonathan to continue in office beyond 2015. He said that Dr. Jonathan is the President Nigerians deserve in a time like this.
The freedom fighter further applauded the chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Felix Obuah for his visionary leadership. And also commended the Supervising Minister for Education, Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike for repositioning the party in the state. ###
