The immediate past president of Rumueperikon Youth Movement and the Acting Chairman of Rumueperikon Daily Market, popularly known as Wike Market, in the Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State Comrade Temple John Worlu has commended the duo of Barr. Chief Nyesom Wike, Coordinating Minister for Education and Hon. Prince Timothy Nsirim, the immediate past chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA, for their empowerment and developmental strides in the area.
Comrade Worlu, in a chat with The Newswriter said that the construction of the daily market among others by Barr. Wike when he was the Chairman of Obalga and the subsequent commissioning of the market by Hon. Nsirim has helped the people of Rumueperikom and Nigerians in general in one way of the other.
He further lauded the effort of Hon. Nelson John Worlu, the immediate past Ward 9 councilor in Obalga and the chairman of the market, Mr. Collins Wike for their support in providing additional shops that helped in accommodating all those that were willing to do business in the market, while thanking Mr. Collins Wike for the opportunity given to him (John) to act on his behalf.
Worlu in the meantime, attributed the success story of the market since it was commissioned for business to the quality of leadership exhibited by the chairman, Mr. Wike which has led to the peaceful co-existence that the businessmen and women at the market are still enjoying.
He maintained that the market has never experienced any form of missing items or insecurity, adding that the market has already put in place a cold room, borehole and toilets among others, designed to make things easier for the traders in the market.
Comrade Worlu, however used the medium to call on Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority to make haste in clearing up the drainages along Ikwerre Road, to ensure the easy flow of water after rain, in order to reduce the pressure of flood that is always experienced within the market premises after down pour.
The youth leader in the meantime enjoined all the traders at the market to take their every Monday one hour afternoon prayer serious, irrespective of their religious affiliation. ###
