Constituency II: Asalga Vanguard Adopts Hon. Iwo Jackreece

HON. IWO JACKREECEA frontline socio-political group known as ASALGA Vanguard in the Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State has endorsed Hon. Iwo Jackreece as the next parliamentarian to represent the people of Asalga Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly come 2015.

The group which made the endorsement during its general meeting on Monday stated that Hon. Jackreece has all what it takes to represent the constituency in the State House of Assembly.

The chairman of the ASALGA Vanguard, Comrade Ibubelem Bereiworiso noted that Hon. Jackreece is a man of clear vision that has the interest of the Constituency at heart. Comrade Bereiworiso maintained that the Assembly hopeful (Hon. Jackreece) has been instrumental to elected victory for all the lawmakers occupying the Constituency Seat in the Assembly since the commencement of the present political dispensation in 1999. He called on the aspirants who are eyeing the seat to jettison their ambition and give their total support to Hon. Jackreece, “because is the most qualified among the contenders to the plum job”.

In his speech, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the association, Comrade Benjamin Whyte described Hon. Jackreece as a grassroots politician that knows the problems and the needs of the constituents. He expressed optimism that if Hon. Jackreece is given the mandate to serve, he would enact better laws that will bring positive transformation into the constituency.

He advised the party faithful not to think twice and allow Hon. Jackreece to represent the people of Asalga Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Comrade Whyte observed that Hon. Jackreece has paid his due politically and demanded that he should be allowed to occupy the Asalga Constituency II in the Rivers Assembly.

He reiterated the determination of the group to mobilize all its resources both material, financial and spiritual to ensure that Hon. Jackreece wins the Constituency seat come February 28, 2015.

 

In her response, the woman leader of the group, Aminadokiari Frank has extolled the leadership acumen of Hon. Jackreece, saying that if he is allowed to succeed Hon. God’stime Ben Horsfall in 2015 he will perform more than his predecessors.

The ASALGA Vanguard woman leader recalled that when Hon. Jackreece was a councilor representing Ward 13 in Asalga Legislative Assembly he gave the people of his ward a proper representation. “What he has done while in the council, no councilor has done it in Ward 13, since the creation of ASALGA in May 1989,” the woman leader said.

She added by saying that a vote for Hon. Jackreece is a vote for community empowerment and development.

Hon. Iwo Jackreece was a former councilor represented Asalga Ward 13. He was a member of a Caretaker Committee (CTC) of Asalga in charge of the Health sector. Hon. Jackreece was a onetime Organizing Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Asalga, before he defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC. Currently the Assembly aspirant is the Organizing Secretary of APC in Asalga. ###
