Civil Servants’ transfer: My Predecessors Collect Bribe – Wokekoro

…Blasts Ex-NULGE Boss

The chairman of the Rivers State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Nnamdi Wokekoro has alleged that his predecessors received cash rewards from some Senior Officers in the commission in order not to be transferred or protecting their positions.

Chief Wokekoro who leveled the allegation while addressing across section of Senior Staff of the Commission, last week at the NULGE Consulate, Port Harcourt, blasted his predecessors for frustrating the smooth running of the Local Government Commission and hamper the statutorily transfer of its workers.

He frowned at the non-challant attitude of his predeccessors and hinted the workers that it would not be business as usual, while urging the workers to always perform their official assignment and assured them of his backing if they do the right thing.

Chief Wokekoro further lampooned the former chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the National Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Apostle Tumini Diri for lacking efficient leadership qualities, saying that “Diri was only an Apostle whenever there is crisis in the Local Government Commission.”

He had earlier charged the workers to be focused and obey the rules and regulations governing the commission, adding that anyone who violate the law would be severely dealt with.
