As 2015 gubernatorial election draws nearer, a socio-political group which calls itself Orashi Solidarity Congress (OSC) has thrown its weight behind the aspiration of Engr. Emmanuel T. Georgewill as the next Governor of Rivers State.
Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the group in Port Harcourt on Monday, the President of the Congress, Elder Victor Oki pleaded with all sons and daughters of Orashi region to back the candidature of Engr. Georgewill.
The group applauded the governorship aspirant for his high level of performance during his tenure as a state Representative in the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and his support to the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The Orashi Solidarity Congress is made up of prominent opinion leaders, youths and women groups in the Orashi region of the state.
Elder Oki had earlier called on the Rivers people to stand behind Engr. Georgewill, whom he described as a man of clear vision, honesty, probity, sincerity and integrity.###
