It is a deep regret and disappointments to aM sons and daughters of Kalabari of their 5 Hon. Members in the Rivers State House of Assembly particularly the speaker, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachree who has approved Billions of Naira on Bond Loans from Banks for Governor Amaechi to execute projects and he is sitting idle like an Eyptian mummy without a single network of Road in His Kalabari kingdom for 3 years as a speaker. This attribute emanated from his predecessor who got all the money which suppose to develop the Kalabari Kingdom and allegedly hidden it underground and has left it to the great beyond; similarly Hon. Onari Brown who is from Obonoma could not lobby Governor Amaechi to complete the Alice Okolo (Creek) culvert project by Governor Amaechi which links his community with Abonnema that may not cost more than N500M; had been abandoned; similarly again, Hon. Ben Horsfall a second time Hon member now in the Ruling party (PDP) has been given constituency fund for 3 years, a small culvert which he hoped to undertake at Omekwe-Tariama to link Angulama which will not cost more than N200m, had been abandoned by him after directed sand contractors supplied sand to the shore of that community which Governor Amaechi has given him all the money and he is only building the so called Nursery School at Minama Community in Ward 13, Asalga which is more or less in nature animals farm-house. These 2 LGAs, Asari-Toru and Akuku-Toru Citizens and electorates of these 3 constituencies should nor allow them in this years primary to contest again.
Our founding fathers such as Chiefs P.G. Warmate, Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas, (QC) G.K.J. Amachree (00 and W. O. Briggs to mention but a few from these 2 LGAs were like them, will they come to enjoy what they are enjoying? I believe most of these Hon. Men don’t know some o these founding fathers physically. Rivers Speaker Budgets N9bn, for guber ambition at its front page. Where did he got this money, is it not the Trans Kalabari Kingdom highway projects money?

Another issue is my friend Chief Sergent Chidi Awuse comment in the Niger Delta today of Vol.7 No 9 June 5, 2014 edition: political sharing in Rivers, Ikwerres won’t surrender power. This was organized by IkWerre Chiefs and Elders Forum is assiduously unfortunate, a Bulldozer of his type to make such statement in order to please Hon. Nyesom Wike simply because he has made him on top of financial capabilities? Why are we not satisfied with what God has given us and go extra miles for sake of money to ridicule our images? Did my friend, Chief Awuse realizes that the whole of his family are all Ikwerres/Kalabaris and if he is making such a nasty statement, he is annoying the Kalabaris in particular and entire state in general, didn’t he know this? Has he forgotten that the Ikwerres has only 31/2 LGAs, Ogoni 4 LGAs, Kalabri
3LGAs and the rest of the state accordingly, is it not so? I ask again, at what proportion did he arrive to making such an unrealistic, unexpected and unfounded statement against the rest of the state to regard Ikwerre as their enemy to eye them against any chance they may hope to get in future to thwart it? But one thing which gladdens my mind is that, in this said gathering, the respected Chiefs and Elders frowned over it and they were not in support of him; unquote, Elechi who says, my friend Awuse is certainly day-dreaming.
My friend Chief Awuse is completely finished politically in Rivers State. I therefore advise him to apology to the citizens of all clans in the state. The wealth of my friend Chief Awuse which he has gotten as he sees president Jonathan 3 times in a week has overtaken his thinking faculty. I am so sorry and sad about it.
Wealth is sweet and good but let any person who remembers himself shouldn’t be carried away like my friend. I am so sad because I love him most politically. Chief Awuse is finished in this state by Hon. Nyesom Wike’s gifts. My sincere appreciate go to those who murmured in that August gathering when my friend Chief Sergeant Chidi Awuse has fallen overboard.
My advice in this direction, those of us who are leaders should show leadership qualities to the Youths by keeping money, aside but face our community, LGA, State and the. Nation first to be a better place for everybody to live in and happier as well as for posterity yet unborn to come to know who was this man and who was that woman. Those founding fathers of Old Rivers State, they were 108 in all by the synopsis of Mr. Isaac Amini Philips of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Rivers State. It was only Chief Melford Obene Okilo who becomes Governor, the rest passed on or still alive that both past and present administrators never at one moment think about them and care for them which is bad in our governance.
