African Church Bishop Proffers Solution To Boko Haram’s Menace

The Bishop of the African Church, Rivers Diocese, Rt. Rev. Isaac Adeniyi Akinkumi Falana (JP) has cited prayers and unity in the body of Christ as panacea to the violence perpetuated by the Boko Haram Islamic sect in some parts of the country.

Speaking at a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, the clergy decried the high rate of killings, violence and frequent kidnapping in the country, which he attributed to the handiwork of satanic agents. Rt. Rev. Falana who was in an Episcopal visit to the African Church, condemned the abduction of the female students of the Government Girls Secondary school, Chibok, Borno State. He further condemned ritual killings in the country, and lampooned some politicians for their evil deeds.

“Most politicians are from the devil, while seeking for elective positions, they do all kinds of evil thing. This is affecting our nation”, Rt. Rev. Falana said.

The cleric observed that the activities of the Boko Haram are both political and religious, and predicted that in no distant time, Nigeria will experience peace.

The theme of the visit is, “Living Above The Storms”. The Man of God declared that whatever storm the country is facing it will soon be a thing of the past.

He, however recalled that in their conference huge amount of money was sent to the displaced persons in the north as a result of the crisis in order to cushion their suffering. Rt. Rev. Fulana quickly appointed out that his church was also affected during the violence in the north and called on the relevant authorities to find a lasting solution crises rocking the nation. ###
