Youth Leader Decries Dilapidated Roads In Elelenwo

PROMISE WALIAttention of the Rivers State Government has been drawn to the poor nature of roads in Elelenwo Community of Obio/Akpor LGA of the state and the need for the State Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to urgently come to the aid of the people in order to alleviate their sufferings.

The National Youth President of Elelenwo Community, Comrade Promise Eze Wodi, who made the appeal shortly after the Foundation Laying Ceremony of Elelenwo Community Christian Centre by Elelenwo Ministers’ Forum, lauded the governor on some developmental projects in Elelenwo, and called on him to do something quickly in order not to cut the people off the entire state.

The youth president thanked the paramount ruler of Elelenwo Community, Chief G.B. Wodi, Ito of Elelenwo, for his listening ears to the word of God and his subsequent donation of two plots of land to Elelenwo Ministers’, for the building of Elelenwo Christian Centre in the community.

Comrade Wodi, further commended the son of the paramount ruler, for his magnanimity in fencing the land in order for the will of God to be accomplished in Elelenwo.

On security, Wodi called on the state government, particularly the state Commissioner of Police to urgently come to aid of the community to help in the fight against cultism that is currently rocking the area, and assured of continuing in his effort to provide job for some of the youths of Elelenwo, which was part of his electioneering manifesto.

Wodi, who is a member of PDP said that there was nothing wrong to have a constructive opposition party as such strengthens the process of democracy and deliver better dividends to the people, while urging politicians in the state to play politics without rancor, irrespective of party affiliations.

He further used the medium to call on Elelenwo youths to shun any act of cultism adding that cultism, in whatever form does not lead to anything good in life.

The duo of Rev. Echendu Ehoro of The Power Intercessory International Church, Elelenwo and Pastor Daniel Deko of an Outreach Ministry, expressed their gratitude to the paramount ruler of Elelenwo, for his immense contribution to the work of God, the Elders and entire people of the community and assured that Elelenwo Ministers’ Forum will play its part to the actualization of the project.###
