2015: Activist Proffers Clues On Emergence Of Kalabari Governor

An activist in the Niger Delta geo-political, Comr. Ipalibo Farah George has provided clues on how a governor from the Kalabari extraction could be emerged in February 28, 2015.

Comrade Farah George who gave the hint in a telephone chat with our reporter in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, said going by the political permutations in the state, the Kalabaris cannot produce a governor come 2015.

The Niger Delta activist observed that currently the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executives from the wards to the state levels are under the control of the Supervising Minister for Education, Chief (Barr.) Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, saying that politicians will find it very difficult to hijack the structure.

He advised that the Kalabaris in the ruling party shouldn’t defect to any of the registered political parties, expressing optimism that the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) will be defected in 2015 general election.

Farah-George further advice that the Kalabari politicians should parley with the Federal Minister, “this may change his mind to give the governorship slot to a Kalabari man”. He enjoined the Kalabaris not to do anything that would jeopardize the electoral victory of President Goodluck Jonathan come February 14, 2015.

On the increasing terrorism in Nigeria, Farah George indicted the former head of states of Nigeria, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari. According to him, the utterances voiced out by the erstwhile military leader shortly after the 2011 presidential election, shown that he does not have the interest of the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration at heart.

“Buhari is the cause of these problems. He should be held responsible. How can a man like Buhari will say that he will make this country ungovernable, if he did not succeed in the 2011 Presidential election? That was nonsense and a treasonable offence.

The Niger Delta Activist who expressed doubt over the abduction of female students from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, said that it is an attempt to rubbish the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

He said that there is no amount of blackmail that would push President Jonathan out of office in 2015. “We are going to resist that. President Goodluck Jonathan must win. Whether they like it or not, because he is doing very well. Nobody can frustrate him”, Farah-George asserted.

He called on all well meaning Nigerians to rally round the President to succeed in 2015 so as to usher in the much needed development into the country. ###
