As the 2016 African Nations cup grouping was released, South Africa is paired against Nigeria, a football enthusiast, Prof. Solomon Braide of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) expressed optimism that Nigeria will top her group.
Prof. Braide is a former president of Goldashe International Football Club of Port Harcourt which views have always been counted in the round leather game.
The university don said that if Nigeria is not complacent and play according to her potentials, surely South Africa or any other country paired with Nigeria may give way to Nigeria to top the group.
He however, said that football is not mathematics, therefore the coach Keshi should not try to underrate other opponents, according to him, doing that will be tantamount to failure and defeat on their part.
He also said Nigeria with the spectacular squad under Coach Okechukwu Stephen Keshi watch is bound to melt any other African sides in the continental. But the Keshi tutored Eagles should not be complacent in their play.
The admirable, ardent supporter of Keshi noted that Nigeria soccer is on the rise and would want Nigerians to believe in Keshi even as the world cup is just two months away, saying that the Coach should be given free hand to pick his choice players. ###
