Sharks Occupy 3rd Place In NRFL

OGUNBOTESharks of Port Harcourt after playing her 7th game in the Nigeria Professional Football League is comfortably occupying the 3rd place in the log table.
Sharks secured this position after deservingly beating Nassarawa United 2-0 at Sharks stadium in the week 7th encounter in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The coach Gbenga Ogumbote led Sharks is on fire to take on any premier professional side camping in the Nigeria professional football league, as the Rivers State government has vowed to support Sharks to win atleast a silverware, for coach Ogumbote, he has promised a continental ticket putting everything in perspective.
Nassarawa United came prepared as they stressed Sharks to the second half of the game before bowing to the Super strike force of the host, where home based Eagles Christian Pyagbara scored Sharks first goal. Ifeanyi Anyiam followed suit within 3 minute. It was a marvelous feat achieved by the Ogumbote tutored lads.
Skipper of Sharks, Odinga Odinga was redcarded in this particular encounter.
Speaking to sports journalists shortly after the encounter, Coach Gbenga Ogunbote said, his side is compelled to win Nassarawa United due to the pressure Sharks maintained inthe midfield to the attack against stubborned Nasarawa United defence, assuring Port Harcourt soccer fans, he will secure a continental ticket with Sharks this season.
On his part, Baba Ganaru, coach of Nassarawa United attributed his side lost to lose of concentration on the part of his boys in the second half.
However, he confirmed that it was a good game. Fans of Port Harcourt described that the officiating was against Sharks, therefore, want LMC line to be critical with the referees in every game.
