The Rivers State chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employee NULGE, Barr. Franklin Ajinwo has called on the union members in the 23 LGAs of Rivers State to support the newly appointed chairman of the Rivers State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Kingsley Jaja and his committee members to moving the Commission to the next level.
Barr. Ajinwo gave the advice while in a chat with journalists during a stakeholders meeting with the new chairman of the local government commission, the directors and personnel officers of the local government administration in the 23 LGAs of Rivers State at the NULGE Consulate Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
Barr. Ajinwo who is also the head of Local Government administration (HLGA) of the Port Harcourt City LGA disclosed that the meeting was geared toward improvement of the workers of the 23 LGAs of Rivers State stressed that given him and his committee members massive support will go a long way facilitating their desired goal of improving the lives of workers and making the Commission moves to the next level.
Earlier in his address Hon. Kingsley Jaja said he would be partnering with workers in the 23 LGAs of Rivers State to ensure their welfare, adding that he and members of the commission will have regular dialogue with the workers to know their problems and proffer solutions to such problems assuring that he will work in line with the constitutions of the LGA administration to back up his work.
He, however, solicited the support of the workers to achieve his goals and promised carry everyone along in the scheme of things.
It would be called that following the resignation of the former chairman of the Rivers State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Azubuike Nmerukini few months ago the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi had appointed Hon. Kingsley Jaja and other members of the Commission to replace the former chairman and members of the Commission. ###
