BRAIDE & GEORGEAs the World Cup approaches, Nigerians are worried over Keshi attitude and statement over selection of players for the world cup, owing to that, the Nigeria football federation (NFF) has scheduled a meeting with coach Stephen Keshi come 22nd April.

Should Keshi after the meeting stick to his plan of selecting his choice players, and neglect NFF chosen players for Keshi, what will be the fate of Keshi and the Super Eagles?

To this, the trio of Chief (Sir.) Ernest Elochukwu, Professor Solomon Braide and Barr. Karibi George tells NFF to leave Keshi alone to chose his choice players for the world cup, as The Newswriter sports sought their thoughts.

First to speak was Chief Ernest Elochukwu, according to him, Nigeria football federation (NFF) should leave Keshi to chose his players for the world cup, saying he knows the players more than any other persons, beside, Keshi has his match plans. The former captain of the Tennis section, Port Harcourt club 1928 said NFF should stop imposition of players on Keshi, adding that is it because Keshi is a black man? He stressed that when the foreigners are managing the Super Eagles, there was no interference from the Nigeria football federation (NFF).

He urged the Nigeria football federation (NFF) to respect Keshi choice of players and leave him alone to manage the super Eagles at the world cup, come June 2014 at Brazil.

For Professor Solomon Braide, Keshi has his team already at such Nigeria football federation (NFF) should leave Keshi to do his job, he is closer to the players more than anyone.

The University of Rivers State science and technology don hinted that shame on Nigeria should Nigeria football federation (NFF) at the end of the day imposed players on Keshi for the world cup team.

For Barr. Karibi George the Public Relation Officer of Nigeria football supporters club, Rivers State chapter, it will be wrong for the Nigeria football federation (NFF) to impose players on Keshi.

According to him, there should not be interference with Keshi’s decision of selection of players for Super Eagles for the World Cup, owing that Keshi is working with scout, imposing players on Keshi would be counterproductive, urging the Nigeria football federation (NFF) not to embark on such venture.

In his advice to Keshi, Karibi George said Keshi should only be analytic in his explanation for the Nigeria football federation to understand what he has in stock for the Super Eagles in the world cup, hence his choice of chosen players.

“Football is a team game even if a player is so good to score three goals and is not ready or prepared to join other players to defend the team from his opponents, there is the tendency that the opponents could score more 5 goals against that team. ###
