Asor, Udi 1 of Obudi-Agwa Autonomous Community, the chairman, Oguta LGA Council of Traditional Rulers (Ndi Eze) in Imo State, noted that governor Okorocha did not create any new autonomous community in the state, but ensured that all the vacant traditional stools in various communities were filled-up.
The Chairman Emeritus of Traditional Rulers of Oil and Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria TROMPCON, said that Okorocha has traded in the path that Angels could not trade, a path that previous administrations could not take, adding that the best option for any aggrieved person(s) will be to approach the court.
Udi 1 of Obudi Agwa Autonomous Community told The Newswriter in his palace that he commended the courage of his opponent when he decided to approach the court after his recognition (Eze Asor) on the 10th of May, 1999 till the 10th of May, 2010, when the matter was decided after seven (7) years the court, instead of resorting to violence.
Responding on the developmental position of Agwa from the state to the local government levels, Eze Asor disclosed that Imo State Government from inception, has not denied Agwa people any developmental opportunity, because of their population in the state, which according to the Eze has prompted government to either concede the position of commissioner, local government chairman or Assembly member to Agwa.
Eze Asor disclosed that his position on the underdevelopment of Agwa that was caused by Agwa politicians has put him on a cross-road with the politicians, adding that his being vocal on the situation has almost caused him his life and name calling by Agwa politicians. He, however lauded Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu, whom he described him as a man that knows the problem of Agwa man, when he took it upon himself to put to use, the road that linked Ejemekwuru and Agwa in the last two years, after being abandoned for the past 20 years.
He added that Debiagwu completed the road with his personal resources even as the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has not paid him for the contract. The Chairman of Oguta LGA and Council of Ndi Eze, further commended His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the on going electricity project in Agwa, which he (Okorocha) has assured of its commissioning come Easter, 2014.
The paramount ruler pointed out that if some of the necessities in life which include; electricity, road, water, education, health care among others are to be provided to the people of Agwa by Okorocha, that he would have no other problem with any Agwa politician, rather than to dine and wine with them as none of them would take credit to any developmental project that took place in area.
Eze Asor, further advised the newly recognized traditional rulers in the state, particularly those from Agwa, to go to their respective communities and make peace.
