The Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Organization has planned the Nigeria centenary celebration with soccer at Sharks Stadium
The event is tagged “A new Era of Hope. The events of schedule will starts from Friday 28th of March, 2014 with leadership training workshop. Day 2 at Sharks Stadium will witness youths of Niger Delta showcasing their football talent by 4pm, 29th March, 2014 according to the schedule, later that day, 29th of March being Saturday, the organization will host a party to celebrate Nigeria in doing that, the less privileged are also considered by the organization as it will give out largesse to various homes of the needy at 11am.
Day 3 will have the organization going for thanksgiving at foundation faith Church at Borikir, Sandfield by UBE, 8am prompt, thereafter Gala night at Port Harcourt, Old GRA at 1 pm. Day 4, being 31st March, the organization will visit Akwa Ibom cum Bayelsa State government House and later NDDC.
According to the president general of the organization, Rt. Comrade Nelson Horsfall Ibibo, notable sons and daughters of Niger Delta will grace the event.
Chairman of the occasion is to be Dr. Felix Tuodola, the Honourable commissioner for culture and Ijaw National Affairs, special quest of honour will be His Excellency Chief Barr. Godswill Akpabio (CON).
In order to give prominency to the occasion all that matters to the Niger Delta region, Chief Barr. Dan Abia MD/CEO NDDC will be guest of honour while father of the day will be HRM King N.D Ibiebele Nimenibo Loko IX, Amayanabo of Ogu kingdom.
Others, mothers of the day will be Deziani Alison Madueke, Honourable Minister of Petroleum and Pastor (Mrs.) helpmate Ene Secondus respectively.
Hon. Samuel Okpoko, Chief (Hon.) Philimon Iwoloma Kingoli, Barr. George Turner (MON), S. A. to the MD, NDDC youths and sports, culture and women affairs will be special guests of honour.
Dr. Fidelis Allen, senior lecturer, faculty of social science UNIPORT, Pastor Ovienioba Fidelis, senior consultant, Human Resources Development, Dr. Uche Chukwuma, Head of Operation Nigeria police force, Rivers State Command will be guest speakers while Chief host is the national president of the coalition of Niger Delta youths organization, Rt. Comrade Nelson Horsfall Ibibo. ###
