The Rivers State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has lambasted impostors, parading themselves as members of the body and warned them to desist from acts capable of bringing disrepute to the worthy council.
Speaking to our correspondent, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Rivers State chapter of NYCN, Comrade Kingsley Adonis Pepple described one Chinwendu Orduwa who claims to be the Deputy President of NYCN and his cohorts as charlatans, stressing that Orduwa’s ignorance concerning the constitution of NYCN in the first order and lack of knowledge concerning the relationship between the Ministry of Youth Development at the Federal, State and Local Government level is understood, judging from the crude manner is behaving.
The image maker of the body said the Kingsley Ibanichuka-led NYCN in Rivers State is highly embarrassed that a youth from Rivers State who did not participate in any election and declared winner would parade himself around dishonourably, claiming to hold an office without merit, inspite the fact that the ruling of the Federal High Court Lagos, outrightly declared that no election was held in Makurdi, Benue State by the NYCN and further declaring null and void any outcome, substantive or purported out of the Makurdi congress.
Comrade Pepple noted that the Rivers State Youth Council would not join issues with a man whose acclaimed office had been declared an aberration by a competent court, stating further that the court directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and any other police officer to arrest any of the parading men, such as Chinwendu Orduwa and his self-acclaimed President, Yakubu Shendam.
The body also called on the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Tunde Ogunshakin to uphold and discharge the directives of the court by arresting the impostors who had taken it upon themselves to instigate unrest and foster violence in the state, while also commending the forthrightness of the Rivers Commissioner for Youth Development, Sir. Onwene Wonodi, who had refused to be partisan in the face of the purported hijack of the process of the youth body by Orduwa, Shendam and cohorts.
The council further appealed to the state CP to put an end to the continued violation of law and order by Chinwendu Orduwa and his cohorts, while advising Mr. Sukubo Sara Igbe and his illegitimate executives to respect the ruling of the Federal High Court, Lagos that have declared null and void the persons that purportedly donated power to them because a man cannot donate an authority he does not have.
Comrade Pepple further expressed that the Kingsley Ibanichuka-led executives are the substantive and legitimate leaders of the entire youths in Rivers State, while urging the youths to be patient and refused to be provoked by the numerous lies, incessant publications, announcements, cohesion, manipulations, incitements etc, by the lawless actions of Chinwendu Orduwa, Sukubo Sara Igbe and their cohorts on Rivers youths.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria has sued the illegitimate executives led by Sara Igbe, seeking to restrain them from parading as officials of the council, which after ruling will officially put to an end their lawlessness.
They advised the youths to go about their normal business and not allow the impostors us them to breach the peace. ###
