I Came From A Strange Land For A Difference – Mrs. Chukumati

MRS. CHUKWUMATIThe  Wife of Senator Noble Chukumati, a notable politician from Obio/Akpor L.G.A of Rivers State, has said that her journey from a strange land (Australia) to the family of Chukumati in Rumuigbo Community of the state was to make a difference.

Mrs. Winifred Susanna Chukumati, who made the disclosure  at                                     Triumphant Faith Bible, Church T.F.B.C. Int’l., Rumuokwuta, Port Harcourt, during Retirement Thanksgiving Service and 60th Birthday Celebration in her honour, expressed gratitude to God for being there for her in all her days in service and the meritorious  retirement at the  age  of 60.

She, however thanked God for her families, friends,                                                                                      colleagues, the General Overseer of Triumphant Faith Bible Church, Apostle (Dr.) Paul A. Mensah and other ministers of the church, for all their supports                                                         to her family and those that came to celebrate with them.

In a sermon, the host Pastor, Apostle Nnamdi  Oriji who took his text from Ecclesiastics chapter 9:1-4, 10-11, urged people to put their trust in God where their help will come from. He noted that how long one liveth on earth does not matter, but how well he or she lived.

Apostle Oriji gave a bible account of Methuselah, who lived for 969 years and pointed out that Christ lived just 30years and accomplished all his missions on earth. He affirmed that God is not yet done with Mrs. Chukumati after her retirement, saying that she is still strong, only that the company where she worked  has done their part according to their policy.

The man of God maintained that Mrs. Winifred Chukumati has every reason to celebrate in the House of God in as much as she was not disgraced or sacked from her work place and have lived up to 60 years in this wicked world.

Oriji prayed that God will give Mrs. Chukumnati another 60 years on earth to continue the good work of using her time and resources to worship and promote the work of God. While the General Overseer of T.F.B.C. Int’l., Apostle Dr. Paul Mensah commended Senator Chukumati and wife, for their philanthropic gesture in taking care of the less privileged in the society, particularly the paying of school fees of other people that are not from their immediate family and urged other women to go closer to Mrs. Susanna Chukumati, to learn how to cope with challenges and remain submissive and supportive to their husbands.

Speaking at Berakah Events Centre, Rumuigbo Port Harcourt, venue of the  celebrations, Chief Sergeant Awuse, chairman of the 60th Birthday/ Retirement Thanksgiving Reception, noted that it was a good thing to celebrate one at the age of 60. He described Senator Noble as a bosom friend and an active politician from Obio/Akpor, Rivers State, before he got ill.

Chief Awuse, further described Mrs. Winifred as a true wife, adding that many Women would have abandoned their husbands in times of challenges, which Susanna never did, but kept supporting her husband.

Speaking with The Newswriter, Dr. Kinikanwo Green, Consultant of O & G at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) and the Vice Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Rivers State chapter, said it was a wonderful day to celebrate a woman who has attended the golden age of 60, describing her as a very humble and cheerful woman.

The Son in-law to the celebrant, however urged everyone to imbibe the virtue of a woman who came from outside the shores of Nigeria to live an exemplary life, particularly to women, whom according to Dr.  Green should shun anything that will prevent them not to come to lime light

In his commendation, Chief Kinikanwo Owhondah, former Chairman, Obio/Akopr LGA, Barr. Tasie Wike; Ezi O. Peters, In-law to Senator Noble and Comrade Samuel C. Owhondah, JP a staff of University of Port Harcourt; where among those that extolled the virtues of Mrs. Chukumati and enjoined other women not to marry for the sake of getting married, but to marry for better and for worse,  just like Winifred has done to her husband, by showing him love, support and humility  despite challenges.

While Senator Noble Chukumati, who earlier in his response admitted that God is  ‘Extra Supper’, described his wife, Winifred as ‘Supper’, for the exceedingly good things that God has done for them, through her and noted that the love of God is for everyone.

Eze Sir Dr. Allwell Ome-Egeonu, the paramount ruler of Iboloji             Community, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt and Hon. Igo Owhondah, were among the dignitaries that attended the occasion.
