Amaechi’s Projects Can be Compared With International Standard – Obasanjo

OBSANJO & AMAECHIFormer President Olusegun Obasanjo has said the projects embarked upon by Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s led administration can only be compared with that of International Standard.

Speaking while inspecting the on-going Monorail Project during his two days visit on commissioning of projects in Rivers State. Obasanjo who expressed satisfaction with the level of projects being undertaken by Governor Amaechi’s administration said he has not seen such projects in any part of the country rather in Port Harcourt and can only be compared to what exists internationally.

Speaking at the Buguma Fish Farm in the Asari Toru Local Government Area, Obasanjo adviced the governor to ensure the sustainability of his projects and urged him not to listen to the distractors rather should be focused in projects execution and ensure its completion, stressing that his projects would go a long way in improving the lives of Rivers people.

According to him, there is no good thing that does not attract criticism.

Former President Obasanjo who avoid discussing political issue said it is too early to endorse any candidate in 2015 election, stressing that he is still in PDP.

On the assessment of Amaechi’s projects’ execution, he said he is not a university professor that can award marks, admitted that Governor Amaechi has done nice and good projects that can stand the test of time.

In his speech, Governor Amaechi assured the sustenance of his projects and completion of ongoing ones in the state.

On the ceding of Soku Oil wells to Bayelsa State, Governor Amaechi adviced the people of Kalabari Kingdom not to allow anything God has given to them, even the President to take it from them adding that he left PDP to APC to recover the oil taken by the federal government to Bayelsa State.

Projects commissioned includes G. U. Ake Road, Ken Saro Wiwa Road, Nne Kurubo Model Secondary School, Ebubu Eleme, Kelsy Harrison Hospital, Emenike, Buguma Fish Farm, Olu Obasanjo Road, Songhai Farm, St. Andrew Model Primary School among others.

The former President had since return back to his Ota Farm, Abeokuta in Ogun State.
