The pioneer Chairman of Rivers State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Clinton Thompson has doubted the advancement of the home based Eagles currently participating in the CHAN competition in South Africa.
The Newswriter sports has his fears that the home based Keshi tutored Eagles might not advance more than the quarter finals stage as they prepare to take on Morocco come Saturday at Cape town by 4pm Nigeria time.
According to him, the Eagles are tactically lacking compare to the Moroccans whom they are to face on Saturday. “The eagles are poor on aerial balls and generally lacking tactically. I doubt their advancement, even if they win the Moroccans by luck, it is clear that they are tactically better than the Eagles.
The veteran retired sports journalist who was also one time General Manager of Radio Bayelsa said, he has no confident in the team advancement, scoring the team general not too good to lift the CHAN trophy. ###
