There was crying and gnashing of teeth in Ke Community in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, following a brutal clash between two rival cult groups namely: Degbam and Icelanders.
The cause of the clash which took place recently was not known as at the time of going to the press, but sources attributed it to “fight over supremacy”.
During the fight, different dangerous weapons were freely used from the both sides. By the time the fight ceased, the Icelanders cult group killed four (4) persons from the opposition Degbam cult.
Those killed are simply identified as Mpaka, Sele, Rowland and one unidentified person. This fresh senseless war has instilled fears into the community as some residents have fled the area for safety. Meanwhile as at the time of filing in this report relative peace has returned to the community. ###
