A newly ordained priest of the Catholic Cathedral Diocese of Port Harcourt, Rev. FR. Samuel Eneji Inaku has called on the Christians to always have trust in God and be truthful to make heaven.
Rev. FR. Inaku gave the advise while speaking at a reception and thanksgiving service ceremony organized in his honour at the corpus Christy cathedral No. 1 Kaduna Street, D/Line Port Harcourt recently.
Rev. FR. Inaku who was ordained along side seven others by His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Cammilus A. Etokudoh, the Catholic Bishop of the Port Harcourt Diocese noted that there were things that are not possible for human beings as many people found it difficult to be Rev. father, said all things are possible with God expressing his profound gratitude to God for making it possible to be ordained as a Priest stressing that since “the lord have called me and chosen me, help me by your grace to justify this by good deeds”.
He admonished the youths to always listen to their parents and elders to make their desired goal in the society while commending Catholic Bishop of Port Harcourt Diocese, the CIWA family, Rev. FR. Bartholomew Uzoma the Cathedral administrator for their various support including those who graced the ceremony as well as those who criticized him in one way or the other stressing that their criticisms has helped him to do better.
In his speech, Sir Emmanuel Okere who chaired the occasion noted that the life of Rev. FR. Samuel Eneji Inaku is worthy of emulation as he lived a holy life stressing that he is worthy of his calling by God as a priest to serve in God’s vineyard.
According to him, Rev. FR. Samuel is somebody we can reach at any time and he is worthy of the moral standard, “he talk with us to draw us close to the God almighty.
The Cathedral administrator in his speech noted that Rev. FR. Samuel has made members of the cathedral and his family proud for his humility and achievement to be ordained as priest and urged him not to fail them but continue with his good manners assuring him that they will always pray for him to succeed in his priesthood.
In a chat with journalists Engr. Okoroji Benedict a member of the Corpus Christi Cathedral Port Harcourt, while thanking God for giving them eight priests within January 2014 urged the newly ordained priests to show respects to their senior ministers and elders of the cathedral as well as seek advised from them when the need arises while the ordination ceremony witnessed presentation of gifts by well-wishers among others. ####
