Information reaching our newsroom on Monday had it that the chairman of the Degema Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibigoni Daddy Pokima is now on the run.
This development is sequel to an alleged petition he wrote against a repentant dreaded militant in the area.
The said petition as we were rightly informed contained how the ex-militant terrorized the Niger Delta region during the era of the militancy in the sub region.
This petition is to discredit the repentant ex-war lord from participating in the political activities in the area in 2015. The said petition as impeccable sources hinted this publication is to endanger the political future of the frightful ex-militant.
However, when information got to the core loyalists to the former Niger Delta war lord about the petition, the council chairman took cover in an unknown destination.
Knowledgeable sources have it that the Delga council boss is running for his dear life to avoid being beaten by the supporters of the ex-militant.
When his press secretary, Rev. Success Ekine was contacted, he said, “I am not aware of such petition and my chairman is not on the run. And nobody beats him.” ###
