The Birth of Prophet Mohammed And National Security

Muslims all over the world on Tuesday celebrated the birth of Holy Prophet Mohammed, the founder of the Islamic faith. Islam is a religion that believes in the existence of one God.

Prophet Mohammed while living on earth preached peace, justice and equity. No doubt he was a true prophet that came down from Allah to teach men and women the right path that leads to the one true God.

Prophet Mohammed was a military man, an advocate of social justice and a leader.

He disdained unholy behaviour and injustice. Unequivocally, Prophet Mohammed exhibited the qualities of Allah, while showing his ardent followers the true source to commune with the true God. The legacies he has left behind are worthy of emulation.

Sadly in Nigeria, most of the crisis rocking the northern part of the country are fueled by the so-called members of Boko Haram, Islam fundamentalists. They unleash terror on churches and some Christian families. This unnecessary pogrom in the north should stop because it is capable of destroying the corporate existence of Nigeria as a nation.

As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts the world over to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed, there is need for his followers to toe the path of peace, and none violence. Prophet Mohammed did not support violence; therefore his faithful should avoid anything that will negatively affect the co-existence of Nigeria. ###
