I Doff My Hat For GDI

GDI LOGOOne basic objective of the Grassroot Development Initiative, GDI is total positive transformation of Rivers State. Before the birth of GDI last year a lot of things are off the track. The economic of the state was going down the drain. Nothing seems to be working. Everything stood still like the sun at the centre of the universe.

As GDI emerges and began to preach the gospel of good governance and social justice in the already economically battered state things begin to change.

The GDI is under the leadership of Hon. Bright Amaehule, a frontline politician in Obio/Akpor Local Government. The National leadership of the group is well focused and determined to usher in the needed change in the state.

As a National Assistant Secretary of GDI, I believe strongly that if not the activities of the group, Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi wouldn’t have embarked on some of the projects he is doing now, including the white elephant multi-billion naira monorail project.

GDI has mobilized much support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term bid. The inauguration of LGA and Ward officers of GDI across the twenty-three local councils of Rivers State has also vehemently crushed any opposition force rearing it ugly head against President Jonathan’s return to Aso Rock in 2015.

Let me use this medium to applaud the good works of GDI which are visible in all the nook and crannies of the state.

Guess, what will happen if GDI is not formed in Rivers State. Something dangerous things will happen, because people will continue to groan in pains, poverty and hardship.

I appreciate the God Almighty for using Chief Hon. Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike to liberate the people of the state from the evil hands of confusion and poverty.

Well done, the Grand Patron of GDI for executing the assignment God has given to you in this time of our development. ###
