The chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Hon. Obuah who made the allegation against the Governor while speaking at the inauguration of Local Government and Ward Officers of the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State, on Sunday blasted the Governor for not having the interest of the masses at heart as regards to the development of the state.
The Rivers PDP Chief decried the slow pace of development in the state, regretting that due to the non-challant attitude of the Governor to the economic development of the citizenries, Rivers people are living in an abject poverty.
According to him, the recent hosting of the chieftains of APC in the Government House, Port Harcourt has proved that Governor Amaechi has defected to APC.

He charged the people to be peaceful and law abiding while pursuing their political future, saying that no progress can be achieved in any community in the atmosphere of rancour and acrimony. ###
