Chief Mrs Nice Aleruchi Tobolayefa Alamieyeseigha nee Amadi Wochi, the Ugo Nwanyi 1 of Ipu South Autonomous Kingdom of Abia State were among the African leaders and philanthropists nominated for the African Women Leader Merit Matriarch Award, Ghana 2013.
In a telephone chat with our reporter, Barrister Chidi Nwankwo, the chairman of the African International Media Organization, one of the organizers of the award noted that the history of the African women from the revolutionary war to the present time has recently defined that great significance of women in nation building, despite the grip of the continent by the tradition of men, women of repute still strive high to get their rightful place both at home and in their chosen field of endeavors adding that it “is of great significance that Chief Mrs. Nice T.A Alamieyeseigha is one of the women of substance making African women proud in the continent, “your intervention, development of community base projects as well as sharing your resources to assist the less privileged which has gone a long way to improve their lives and help in the nation building.
According to him, her effort to liberate and develop women has made her a matriarch. “We are proud of you and wish to officially inform you that your intellectual contributions and commitment to the advancement of women resources and life issues through your position in the society has earned you the African woman leader merit award (Matriarch Award) Ghana 2013.
Barrister Nwankwo further disclosed that the award ceremony which will also include the presentation of award to seven other African philanthropists will take place at the Airport West Hotel Accra, Ghana on the 16th November 2013 by 3pm, adding that sampled opinions and research proved that Chief Mrs. Nice Alamieyeseigha and others awardees have triumph in bringing hope to millions of women in the continent hence they were nominated for the award. ####
