A well known construction mogul and a businessman from the Kalabari extraction of Rivers State, Chief (Sir) Okoma Kio Isokariari has charged Rivers politicians to show love to one another for the interest of the state.
The business mogul gave the charge over the weekend at Hotel Presidential, during the presentation of his book titled “My Mission”.
The elderstateman blasted those in the society with the get rich syndrome who can kill or commit havoc for the purpose of money.
In an interview with journalists at his Port Harcourt residence shortly after the Book Presentation, Chief O.K Isokariari said the secret of his success is hardwork, dedication, honesty and the love of God and humanity.
The founder of O.K Isokariari and Sons stated that in the 70’s he was asked to build Buguma General Hospital with other contractors but he delivered the project on schedule with quality while others fizzled out that made the military Government then to trust him. He posited that what earned him a lasting legacy today was a contract he did with the Rivers State Government after the civil war propelled the government then trusted him and asked his company, O.K.I. to continue to do more contracts from the Ministry of Works under the Military Government.
He advised Rivers politicians to come together for growth and stability as they love one another and forget their political differences.
On why he use his name as his company name, the chief said the choice for his name is to uphold and keep the name of the family and that make him to protect the family name in all areas of business.
Earlier, the Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi lauded Chief O.K Isokariari for the choice of writing a book at this age.
Represented at the occasion by the Chief of Staff, Chief Tony Okocha, Governor Amaechi said Chief O. K. Isokariari was one of the best indigenous companies that made Rivers State proud when only few contractors where in the business.
Chief Tony Okocha said he was delighted to sit with Chief O. K Isokariari during his book presentation.
In an interview with journalists shortly after the presentation, the lawmaker representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator Magnus Abe said Chief O.K Isokariari grew up and exceled in business when there was no “man-know-man” in the issue of contract, but hardwork and dedication.
Senator Abe stated that Chief Isokariari did well in his days because he was committed and that Rivers people should emulate him so that we can create more Isokariaris in the state.
The chairman of the occasion, His Highness King A.I Turner used the event to pour encomium on the Kalabari Chief turned writer.
He said the book would no doubt contribute greatly to the development of the people of Kalabari and Rivers State.
Highlight of the event was cultural dance and the cutting of the birthday cake of the writer chief O. K. Isokariari’s 78th birthday celebration.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion include: the special guest of honour, the Senate President represented by Senator Wilson Ake, the royal father of the day, His majesty (Prof.) T.J.T Princewill, among Chiefs and elders of Kalabari land, while the book presenter was Engr. Magne David West (Snr.)
The 478 page is a master piece authored by the founder of O.K Isokariari and sons Nigeria Limited Chief (Sir) O.K Isokariari. ###
