The Grand Patron of the Grassroot Development Initiative, Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Nwike has challenged the governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi to leave the party if he thinks he is popular enough to gain the people’s vote.
Chief Wike made this known in a rally organized by the GDI on Sunday. In his statement, Wike made it clear that Amaechi’s survival is minute if he leaves the party and that there shall be thanksgiving for his departure.
The Minister of State for Education and supervising Minister for Education also said in his words “A governor has turned to a complainant to Human Rights Service Commission” because his government has collapsed. And he congratulated the people for being responsible for pushing the governor for the first time in the history of Nigeria into being a complainant.
Wike added that Amaechi who would have ask commissioner of Police to arrest people and charge them for cultism is now complaining.
The Grand Patron of GDI also lamented the governor’s disrespect for the elders and Chiefs of the state but goes to other states especially the North to “DOBALE” for them.
The Chief of Staff who responded on Amaechi’s behalf told Wike to get busy with his affairs in the educational sector, stating that the educational system in Nigeria has fallen, instead of wasting peoples’ time in rallies everywhere with GDI. He went ahead to say that ASUU is on strike and he is in Rivers State making irrelevant noise. ##
