Abua/Odual Council Boss Moves To Curb Violence

The Chairman of Abua/Odual Council, Hon. Udi Odum has announced his desire to intensify effort to boost security in Abua/Odual over recent killings in the area.

The Council Chairman promised to ensure peace, unity and security in the area in a security meeting last Monday.

The joint meeting comprises political stakeholders, principal officers of the Council, the Joint Task Force (JTF) and the Divisional Police officer (DPO).

On this development, concerned citizens of the area have been informed by the Police boss in the area that anyone found aiding insecurity shall be arrested and treated squarely, adding that everyone should be vigilant and report any act or movement that threatens public security in the area.

The police boss further appealed to all citizens to dispense any information that can aid security agents on the ugly events and thanked the Council Chairman on his pragmatic step to boost security in the area.

Meanwhile, the Council Chairman has told the people of the area to remain calm and serve as a watch dog for their next neighbour adding that effort has been put in place to calm the situation. Hear him “before you elected me into office I promised you effective security and development and unity among the people of Abua/Odual. I’m not going back from my promise even a day to leave my office, I must keep to any promise and be sure you all will sleep with your eyes closed but we must help ourselves to be vigilant”. ####
