Stakeholders in the Maritime Industry, particularly members of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, have commended Dr. Ossy Prestige Ossy, the chairman of ANLCA Onne Sea Port chapter, Rivers State, for taken the association to a greater height.
The commendation came shortly after the official commissioning of the Association’s secretariat, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Speaking earlier the National President of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu commended Hon. Ossy Prestige for distinguishing himself, adding that the edifice has justified whatever amount he may have spent on it, charging all other chapter chairmen and incoming chairmen to follow suit.
Shittu, however, at the stakeholders’ meeting in Port Harcourt, described the 2008 ANLCA constitution by the immediate past National President, Chief Sir. Ernest Elochukwu as a blessing in disguise, pointing that it was a constitution that has made it mandatory that the National Executive must work hand in hand with the Board of Trustees of ANLCA.
In his speech, the chapter chairman of ANLCA, Onne sea port chapter, expressed gratitude that he was able to accomplish his four cardinal electoral manifesto to the association before the end of his second tenure, which include: renting of an office for the association, a land for the building of the association secretariat, provision of a coaster bus for the association and provision of welfare packages for members of the association among others.
Hon. Prestige commended the National President of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu WACT and the BOT chairman, Chief Henry Njoku for their support and that of ANLCA members.
He further commended members of Grassroot Initiative Forum for their support, enjoined them to put their eyes down again to choose someone that will succeed him after and promised to be part of them after his tenure.
While Mr. Dennis Okwu, the Managing Director of Sweet Apples Ltd, and the Zonal Coordinator Eastern of ANLCA expressed joy that the change of trend in ANLCA is happening in his time as the Eastern Zonal Coordinator of the association, assured them of continuous support and providing intellectual advise to the development of ANLCA.
In the same vein, Sir Francis O. Onwuchekwa, chairman of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Onne chapter was joined by Mr. Unuekhai Remi of Trans Global Express Services Ltd, and Hon. Chika M. Onyeulo lauded the strides of Hon. Ossy Prestige Ossy.
Speaking at the Stakeholders’ meeting of ANLCA which heralded the official opening of the Onne Seaport Chapter of the association held in Port Harcourt, Chief Skido C. C. Okafor of Atlantic System Agency Ltd complimented the efforts of Hon. Prestige and charged whoever that takes over from him at the end of his tenure to do better than him (Ossy).
He refused to comment on his chairmanship ambition until the end of the present administration and however, condemned the services of SGS as it relates to the issuance of Risk Assessment Report RAR, which according to Mr. Okafor takes a longer time than 3 days which is supposed to be ideal for the receipt of RAR.
Those who also spoke in commendation of the outcome of the stakeholders’ meeting include: Mr. Chris Nworgu, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gopher Group and HRH Eze Sir Linus O. Okafor, chairman Linther Nigeria Limited, and Mr. Eniola Igbaroola of Enny-man Ventures Ltd. ####
