One of Nigerian notable musicians, Majek Fashek took the stand at Okochiri to entertain footballers and soccer fans shortly after the conclusion of first Chief Comrade Ateke Tom 5-Aside Soccer Tournament Award given ceremony.
Majek Fashek in company of Daniel Omakachi, Mutu Adepoju, Pastor Taribo West and Augustine Eguavoen were all in a celebration mood to toast those that witnessed the tournament at Ateke Tom Okochiri Estate, where the competition took place.
Komo United beats Basoene United to lift that particular first Ateke Tom 5-Aside trophy by alone goal, scored by George Aribitonye in the first half of the encounter.
Lot of philanthropists’ awards were given, having Augustine Eguavoen to present awards to deserving personalities notable among the awardees is the chief host and sponsor of the tournament, Chief Comrade Ateke Tom who was awarded soccer philanthropist and Pillar of Nigeria soccer.
Didi FC went home with the third place prize of N100, 000 (One Hundred Thousand) cash prize with the trophy while Komo United went home with the major trophy alongside the cash prize of N300, 000 (three hundred thousand naira). Basoene United FC carted home the first runners up cash prize of N200.000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) and along with the third place trophy. Different dance groups were on hand to spice the occasion.
The Nigerian film industry was not left out in the pack as some Nollywooh actors and actresses were also part of the show. ###
