I am Grateful First To Win Highest Goal Scorer – Hon. Robert

Winner of the highest goal scorer award of Hon. Aye Atamah people sponsored Allstars football clubs independent unity soccer cup competition, amongst six clubs in Port Harcourt, Hon. Emic Robert, said, he is so grateful being the first to win the maiden edition of the competition.

According to him, he had always being highest goal scorer in his club for the past four years so to be a winner this particular one does not surprise him.

“I anticipated that I will win before I stepped out of my house, so I am not particularly surprise winning the highest goal scorer award. Though I am really grateful to be the first to win the inaugural edition he stated, adding that he dedicated the award to God.

He also said he is happy to meet with old friend whom he had not seen for the past twenty years. Pointing out that the competition has opened another chapter of friendship for former friends whom had not seen themselves for years.

He commended the sponsor for initiating such a unity fostering football competition to celebrate with old friends of old Port Harcourt Township, prayed God to bless him.

He also encouraged others to emulate the good steps of Hon. Aye Atamah Pepple to embark on project like this to support football in the country.

He, however, said he received the award with all sense of humility and pledged to sustained the trend of winning the highest goal scorer award.

Stating that any other person could win the award because every other player plays football in competition to win award, positing that the competition itself is unique and timely because it comes at the right time at Nigeria’s 53rd birthday celebration is a welcome development. ###
