A University Don and ardent football enthusiast Solomon Braide has come out to throw his support on Coach Stephen Keshi on the way he (Keshi) is carrying on with the Super Eagles.
The University of Science and Technology don has applauded Stephen Keshi for preparing a brand new super Eagles for Nigeria saying Keshi has done well.
Prof. Braide who is one-time president of Goldashe football club, a social recreational football outfit based at Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) Port Harcourt, said, Keshi knows all those players who could give him result in any match he features them hence tends to depend on his choice players any day any time, even at international matches.
He maintained that Keshi as a coach has seen it all, because he climbed through the ladder of his chosen profession.
First, he was a team captain and produced result as a captain with the Eagles at Tunisia 94 Nations Cup and also qualified Nigeria to her first world cup at USA 94.
Now as a coach of the Super Eagles, he has also won the AFCON trophy for Nigeria, when some Nigerians do not even believed in him.
Keshi chosed his players amidst criticism yet went home to shame those soccer followers who criticized him by lifting the AFCON trophy. “I therefore also used this medium to urge Nigerians to give Keshi all the support he deserved to excel in the task of qualifying Nigerian for the world cup.
Already Nigeria dream of going to the world cup is on course, from what Keshi has proven to Nigerians so far, believing that Nigeria will definitely hoist her flag in the comity of countries that will participate in the 2014 FIFA world cup at Brazil.
The soft spoken university don also said, Keshi list of the Super Eagles team could not be faulted because, he is the man in charge of the players. ###
