Oro-owo Community Lauds RSG Over Amadi’s Appointment

The Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been commended for appointing Dr. Charles Amadi as the new Provost of the Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology. The commendation was made by the people of Oro-Owo Community in Rumueme Kingdom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, when they paid a courtesy call to the new management of the College recently.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr. Oluchi Ogoloma stated that the appointment of Dr. Charles Amadi as the new Provost was a good development. He added that the Community will put in their best, to stabilize the existing peace between the College and the community. Mr. Ogoloma also appealed to the new management of the College to give them their quoters in terms of admission and employment.
He assured the Provost of the Community’s inflicting support at all times, stressing that the community should be given a slot in the Governing board when constituted. Responding, the new Provost of the College, Dr. Charles Amadi, expressed appreciation to the Community for their visit, and described the community as partners in progress. He assured them that the new administration will carry them along in the scheme of things. Dr. Amadi, also emphasized the need of the College to adhere to the principles of merit in admission procedure, adding that this administration was determined to promote excellence in education. He called on the youths in the community to protect facilities and infrastructures in the College for the benefit of all.
