Int’l NGO Honours Bayelsa State Speaker, Others

The International Association of World Peace Advocate has concluded its plan to host this years united international day of peace at the Bayelsa State government House Banquet Hall on 21st September 2013.
The celebration will future the presentation of awards to some Nigerian personalities which includes Rt. Hon. Kobowei Bneson, the speaker Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Udo Oko Chukwu, speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Bob-Manuel of Bayelsa State, His Royal Highness James Ayegba Akor, Kogi State, Bishop Dr. Ben Obeneme Rivers State, Eze Cyprian Oraegbunam Akpaka, Lagos, Mr. Patmore Iyabi, Bayelsa State, Pastor Dr. Juliana Henshaw, Cross Rivers State.
Others are Mr. Waate Peter Nubaridoo Rivers State, Mrs. Lima Victor Umaroduah Rivers State, Dr. Mrs. Madu Ekpat, Akwa Ibom State, Miss Urombo Nene Ataetip Rivers State and HRH Eze Dr. Amb. Frank Eke, the Eze Gbaka gbaka of Ikwerre land and the Eze Evo II.
In a telephone chat with journalists the international spokesman of the association Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke said that the choice of Bayelsa for the celebration was because of their last programme in Bayelsa state was adjudged to be one of the best programme the association had ever organized in Africa and that the association has taken it as a compulsory task to be hosting international programmes once each year in Bayelsa state.
Amb. Nkweke further disclosed that the reason for the association’s plan to present award to some Nigerians whose names were mentioned for the award was due to their numerous selfless service to humanities stressing that it is good to honour those ho have done well for humanity, to do more.
According to him, Bayelsa State is becoming a safe heaven for hosting international programmes and that the peace day celebration 2013 will among others feature the ringing of the first ever peace bell in Nigeria, flagging off of campaign against Nigeria flag abuse and the unveiling of the Nigeria peace cup for school children in Bayelsa State pointing out that the team for the tournament may represent the governor of Bayelsa state, Hon. Seraki Dickson on one team while the other team will represent the governors wife respectively.
Amb. Nkweke further added that about Fifty schools are to participate in the celebration of the UN Peace Day an that each participant is to be trained as an online peace maker with certificate hence this year them is ‘Peace education” and that academic peace organizations, church workers, chief Imams and various chaplains organizations are to grace the occasion while calling on all peace lovers to grace the ceremony as history will repeat itself on that day. ###
