Skipper of Sharks, Odinga O. Odinga wants the management of Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt to support Sharks in her home matches.
Odinga made this call in Port Harcourt shortly after drawing 1-1 a piece with Akwa United who visited Sharks in the Nigeria Premier League week 28 encounter at Sharks home ground.
Odinga expressed his anger, saying he is disappointed with the management of Sharks for not supporting Sharks in her home matches, stating that how could a visiting team pick a point with Sharks at Sharks ground. He said, it is the fault of the management of Sharks, citing an instance, where Sharks was robbed of points at away matches.
Odinga said, “I don’t know what our management is doing, other team management never joke with their home advantage but for Sharks, I don’t know what the management is doing, the management could not even give us the home advantage support.
The oldest player in the Sharks team expressed his displeasure in the encounter, alleging that Sharks was robbed in that encounter.
While Sharks skipper, Odinga was expressing disappointment with his management, coach Justice Aenge of Akwa United expressed joy in his side picking a point at Sharks ground, attributing it to the act of God.
He stated that it was a good match and gave reasons how his boys recorded the feat, saying that he added more attackers to pile pressure at Sharks defence and it paid off for his side.
He also talked about how he lost out in the FA Cup, saying that the management of Akwa United gave out that cup to his opponent.
