Nigeria Player Of The Week – Emmanuel Emenike
Returning to the Super Eagles after a seven-month absence, Emmanuel Emenike showed the predatory instincts that have been largely missed by the national team in his absence.
Emenike’s goal in the 45th minute of the encounter against Malawi on Saturday gave the Eagles the needed fillip going into the second half.
Though he is yet to open his account for the season with Fenerbahce, he had already scored four times for Spartak Moscow before his transfer.
He also made it two goals in two matches for the Super Eagles on Tuesday as the team walloped Burkina Faso 4-1 in Kaduna. Emenike came on as a substitute in the second half to make it 10 goals in 18 appearances for Nigeria.
