Stephen Keshi has assigned Nigeria Portugal based striker a midfield role in his match plan.
Keshi mapped out his plan for the likes of John Ogun and AC Milan Schemer Nnamdi Oduamadi in the South Africa/Nigeria friendly encounter, where the two strikers were conditioned to play deep in the attacking midfield position.
The role was so marshaled by the duo that ‘Okada Man’ Musa Ahmed was able to have the best of time to put pressure in the defence of South Africa.
This discovery has pleased Keshi that John Ogu has again been invited along side midfield anchor man, Mikel Obi of Chelsea to pair to punish the Flames of Malawi.
How Keshi will pair them along side other strikers and midfield stars is left to be seen by Nigerians, come 7th of September at Calabar.
As of the time of filing in this report, some of the foreign based Eagles players have started coming to camp for the all important world cup qualifier.
Every player invited is of high spirit to honour the Malawi/Nigeria world cup qualifier, as our sports desk gathered.
This match is one match Nigerians are praying to see the true Keshi’s capability in qualifying Nigeria to the world cup in Brazil 2014.
The Nigerian line up is going to be made up of home based Eagles against the foreign based, not taking any advantage of recently discovered new Nigerian players for this particular Keshi Malawi/ Nigeria match.
Many soccer pundits are of the opinion that Keshi may have team selection problem as he has experiment enough to have discovered good new players.
Others opined that Keshi might have problem with Nigeria soccer fans if at the end of the day he did not make the right selection to produce a winning team because of the avalanche of players in each of the department at his disposal.
Only time will prove Keshi right or wrong before Nigerian soccer pundits, as he prepares to write another name for himself in the annals of history in Nigeria football with the Super Eagles against Malawi. ###
