Hon. Wobo Applauds PHALGA Leadership Style

HON. LUCKY STANLEY WOBOThe councilor representing ward 11 in Port Harcourt City local government of Rivers State, Hon. Lucky Stanley Wobo has applauded the leadership style of Chief Chimbiko Akaraolo, chairman of PHALGA, saying he derived joy in imitating his leadership style.

Hon. Wobo made this assertion when speaking to The Newswriter on the occasion of Port Harcourt centenary opening celebration at Alfred Diette Spiff sports complex.

According to him, Chief Akarolo is a father, figure who is interested in projecting his councilors, adding that the mayor of PHALGA calls his councilors and advised them at will on their future development and interest.

He also revealed that the mayor was so kind to have sent them on leadership training to Ghana which had greatly impacted on his leadership styles.

Hon. Lucky Stanley Wobo is the House Committee chairman on environmental Sanitation and secretary ethics and privileges in the PHALGA legislative.

Just recently he was honoured by two organizations for his leadership style. First he was honoured with a personality award by the Environmental Science Students Association of Rivers state University of Science and Technology (RSUST) on his exemplary leaders and a worthy philanthropist, in the city of Port Harcourt City. Secondly, he was honoured for his good leadership style by the league of character club Nigeria.

As part of his promise he made to his ward, he had facilitated the employment of 40 teachers in his ward on the Rivers State on going teachers’ recruitment, exercise noting that 4 are already engaged.

He had earlier empowered youths of his ward in 30 day with a project he called 30-30-30 in 30 days.By this, he has he paid for 30 students in the NECO, GCE, JAMB examination and N30,000 per person. He has also given soft loan of N20,000 per person  to empower 30 skill acquisition training  in his ward.

He urged Rivers people to embrace peace positing that where there is no peace, there could be no meaningful development. He further advised them to support Gov. Amaechi and the mayor of PHALGA, Chief Chimbiko Akarolo to enjoy the dividend of democracy.

For the youths he said, if they could only embrace peace and not allow anybody to misuse them, he will on his part endeavour to do more developmental programmes for them.###
