Rescue Of Kidnapped Lawmaker’s Mother: SSS, PDP Member Fault Kingsley Chinda’s Claim On Mbu’s Role

Contrary to claims by Hon. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda a lawmaker representing Obio/Akpor Constituency in the Federal House of Representative and a staunch member of Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, the Minister of State for Education political camp that her kidnapped mother Mrs. Chinda was rescued by the Rivers State police Command under the leadership of Joseph Mbu, the state police Commissioner, a top state security service, SSS, officers in the Rivers State Command has faulted Chinda’s claim stressing that, it was the SSS officials from the Rivers State Command that secured the rescue of the victim from her abductors.

According to the top SSS official who spoke with journalists in Port Harcourt Hon. Chinda’s mother who was in the hand of her abductors for five days was rescued bythe Rivers State command of the SSS around 1.00am on Saturday 2013 at Abuloma Port Harcourt and move to the SSS office at the old GRA at 3.00am adding that three suspects were arrested by the SSS officials pointing out that no ransom was paid before the old woman was rescued from her abductors.

After the old woman was rescue from her abductors there was rejoicing and merriments at Elelenwo Obio/Akpor LGA the home town of the rescued woman.

It would be recalled that after the release of Hon. Chinda’s mother from the hand of her abductors, Hon. Kingsley Chinda, her son who spoke with journalists in Port Harcourt commended the security apparatus in Rivers State especially the police command for rescuing his mother from the hand of her abductors.

Hon. Chinda further urged his colleagues in both Federal House of Representative and senate to have a rethink on their earlier decision to redeploy Mr. Joseph Mbu from Rivers State Police Command for his role in the Rivers State political crisis.

Similarly, a staunch member the Peoples Democratic Party PDP who does not want his name in print has faulted Hon. Chinda’s claim on the rescued of his mother by the Rivers State police Command pointing out that Chinda’s aim was to ensure that the Federal Lawmakers, the senate and House of Representative revice their decision of redeploying Mr. Joseph Mbu from Rivers Stat over his role in Rivers State political crisis and urged the federal lawmakers to maintain their decision of redeploying Mbu out of Rivers State due to his alleged involvement in the political crisis. ###
